Emergency Procedures

In any emergency, remain calm and assess the situation. Call 911 for immediate threats to life or property, then notify College administration.

• Call 911 for fires, medical emergencies, or threats
• Follow instructions from emergency responders and College officials
• Shelter in place when directed
• Evacuate via the nearest safe exit when directed

Active Shooter Protocol

If an active shooter situation occurs, use the Run, Hide, Fight model: Run if there is a safe escape path; Hide in a secure location, silence devices, and lock or barricade doors; Fight only as a last resort to defend yourself or others. Call 911 as soon as it is safe to do so.

Campus Security Contact

Security concerns, suspicious activity, and non-emergency incidents should be reported to College administration promptly during business hours. For after-hours emergencies, call 911.

Annual Security Report (Clery Act)

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, the College publishes an Annual Security Report that includes crime statistics, security policies, and emergency response procedures. The report is available upon request and is reviewed annually.

Emergency Notifications

The College maintains procedures for notifying the campus community in the event of an immediate threat. Notifications are issued through institutional email, the website, and other available channels. Students and employees are encouraged to keep contact information current to receive timely alerts.

General Safety Resources

Additional safety and wellness resources are available through Student Wellness and Counseling and the IT Support portal. Students are encouraged to familiarize themselves with these resources before they are needed.
